Stranger Things Final Season Release Dates Revealed

Stranger Things teases its final season with an epic trailer and sets release dates for all three parts of its final chapter this fall.

The beginning of the end is near. Netflix has officially unveiled the teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, giving fans their first glimpse at the dark, high-stakes conclusion of the beloved sci-fi series.

Set in the fall of 1987, the final season picks up in the wake of Hawkins being scarred by the opening of the Rifts. As Vecna disappears without a trace, the town is placed under military quarantine, and Eleven is forced back into hiding as the government intensifies its pursuit of her.

But with the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance approaching, dread settles over Hawkins once more. A final battle is looming, one that promises to be more dangerous than anything the group has ever faced. To survive, they’ll need the entire party back together — united one last time.

Netflix confirmed the three-part release schedule:

Volume 1 drops November 26, 2025 at 5pm PT

Volume 2 follows on December 25, 2025 at 5pm PT

The Finale arrives December 31, 2025 at 5pm PT

Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is produced by Upside Down Pictures and 21 Laps Entertainment, with executive producers including the Duffer Brothers, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen.

The returning ensemble cast includes Winona Ryder (Joyce), David Harbour (Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), Sadie Sink (Max), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve), Maya Hawke (Robin), Priah Ferguson (Erica), Brett Gelman (Murray), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), and Linda Hamilton (Dr. Kay), among others.

Originally debuting in 2016, Stranger Things became a pop culture juggernaut, racking up over 70 awards and more than 230 nominations. Its fourth season alone garnered 140.7 million global views, while reviving interest in everything from Eggo waffles to Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”

In addition to the final season, the Stranger Things universe continues to expand with a Broadway play (Stranger Things: The First Shadow), an animated series arriving in 2026, a global Stranger Things Experience, and a wide range of books, collectibles, and brand partnerships. Fans also celebrate November 6 annually as Stranger Things Day — marking the day Will went missing and kicked off the phenomenon.

The final season promises a gripping sendoff to the story that began in Hawkins — one filled with mystery, supernatural threats, and emotional farewells.
