Big Brother season 27 kicks off July 10 with 90-minute episodes, all-new houseguests, and a new behind-the-scenes show on Fridays.
Big Brother is back—and the game is about to get even bigger. CBS has officially announced that Big Brother season 27 will premiere Thursday, July 10, with a 90-minute kickoff episode airing from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET.
The long-running reality competition will once again be hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, who returns to lead the summer series into its next high-stakes chapter with an all-new group of houseguests—meaning no returning players this season.
In addition to its action-packed premiere, Big Brother season 27 will stick to a regular airing schedule of Sunday and Thursday nights (one hour each) and extended 90-minute episodes every Wednesday, all airing at 8:00 p.m. ET. But that’s not all.
This season introduces a brand-new companion series, Big Brother: Unlocked, premiering Friday, July 25, and airing every other Friday from 8:00–9:00 p.m. ET. The new show will be a must-watch for super fans, featuring never-before-seen footage, surprise guest appearances, and exclusive interviews. Each episode will be hosted by three BB All-Stars offering up analysis, strategy insight, and deep dives into the house’s most dramatic moments.
While there are no returning houseguests this summer, past contestants will still have a presence via Unlocked. And if you’re wondering who walked away with the title last season, Chelsie Baham took the crown in a landslide 7-0 vote over Makensy Manbeck in the Big Brother 2024 finale.
The franchise has remained a staple in summer programming since its debut and continues to expand. In addition to its 26 traditional seasons, the Big Brother universe includes three seasons of Celebrity Big Brother, a one-off digital season (Big Brother: Over the Top), and last year’s Big Brother Reindeer Games holiday special.
With new houseguests, a packed weekly schedule, and more behind-the-scenes access than ever before, season 27 is shaping up to be a can’t-miss summer sensation.
