The Stranger Things 5 volume 2 trailer teases shocking truths about the Upside Down as the Netflix series races toward its Christmas premiere and final episodes.
Netflix has released the official trailer for Stranger Things 5 Volume 2, offering fans a chilling new look at the final chapter of the global phenomenon. The trailer delivers a striking message: everything believed about the Upside Down may have been completely wrong, setting the stage for a dark and emotional conclusion.
Volume 2 of Stranger Things 5 will premiere globally on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT, exclusively on Netflix. Set in the fall of 1987, the story finds Hawkins permanently scarred by the opening of the Rifts. The group is united by a single mission: find and kill Vecna. However, Vecna has vanished, and his plans remain unknown. As the government places Hawkins under military quarantine and intensifies its pursuit of Eleven, she is forced back into hiding. The approaching anniversary of Will’s disappearance brings a familiar sense of dread, signaling that the final battle is near — and more dangerous than anything the group has faced before.
Netflix is also inviting fans across the United States and Canada to celebrate the final episode with special theatrical screenings on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Details, including theater locations and RSVP information, are available at st5finale.com.
Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is produced by Upside Down Pictures and 21 Laps Entertainment, with The Duffer Brothers serving as executive producers alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
The final season stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Cara Buono, Amybeth McNulty, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton.
As the series heads toward its conclusion, the trailer promises that ending this nightmare will require the entire group standing together one last time.
