The announcement arrives ahead of the highly anticipated Bridgerton Season 4, which is slated to premiere in 2026. While Lady Violet Bridgerton (played by Ruth Gemmell) has already seen several of her children—Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), Francesca (Hannah Dodd), Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), and Colin (Luke Newton)—successfully retire from the marriage mart, the next romantic tale will focus on the family’s bohemian second son, Benedict Bridgerton.

In Season 4, Benedict (portrayed by Luke Thompson) finds himself at a crossroads, resisting the societal pressure to settle down—until he meets a captivating stranger at his mother’s masquerade ball. Known only as the “Lady in Silver,” this mysterious guest is later revealed to be Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. Their enchanting first encounter is set to unfold as the heart of the new season’s storyline.

The expansive returning cast includes fan favorites such as Simone Ashley (Kate Bridgerton), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), and the voice of Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown. New and continuing characters like Victor Alli, Masali Baduza, Michelle Mao, Isabella Wei, and many more will also grace the screen.

Since its debut in 2020, Bridgerton has become a global sensation. Seasons 1 and 3 currently sit at #5 and #7 on Netflix’s list of Most Popular English-language shows, and its spinoff, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, also saw major success, topping the Global Top 10.

The series remains under the creative guidance of showrunner Jess Brownell, with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen continuing as executive producers.

With Seasons 5 and 6 officially on the horizon, Bridgerton’s legacy in the ton is far from over. As always, loyal readers can count on Lady Whistledown—and Tudum—for the latest updates on all things Bridgerton.
