‘The Witcher’ Updates Its Cast For Season 2

Netflix just announced 7 additional cast members for season 2 of The Witcher, including Adjoa Andoh, Cassie Clare, and Simon Callow. Here’s what we know about their characters, and what we’re excited about next season.

We’ve got some big news for fans of The Witcher. Netflix just announced seven new cast members for this upcoming season! Fans will recognize faces like Adjoa Andoh, Graham McTavish, Kevin Doyle, and more! Here’s what we know about their characters, and what we’re excited for!

Next season will take place in Geralt’s childhood home of Kaer Morhen. After believing Yennefer to be dead, Geralt takes Princess Cirilla to Kaer Morhen to keep her safe while he tries to protect her from her mysterious and dangerous magical abilities. Kaer Morhen is actually the headquarters for the School of the Wolf, the Witcher school Geralt trained at. Which means, you guess it, we’re getting more Witchers next season!

We’re super excited to see more Witchers that fans love from books and games! Lambert, Coën, and Vesemir, will be played by Paul Bullion, Yasen Atour, and Kim Bodnia. But Netflix is also bringing to life other characters from The Witcher Franchise!

Adjoa Andoh, who you may recognize from Bridgerton, is playing Nenneke, a priestess of Melitele. She’s the head of the Temple of Melitele, and she’s known Geralt for ages. We’ll also be seeing another powerful woman, Phillippa Eilhart. Played by Cassie Clare, Phillippa is a powerful and cunning sorceress with the rare ability to shape shift, or polymorph in Witcher lingo.

Dijkstra will be played by Graham McTavish. He is a legendary spy and head of special forces for the kingdom of Redania. Fans will also get to see the famous detective duo, Codringher and Fenn, played by Simon Callow and Liz Carr. Codringher is the face of the business, while Fenn stays buried in research.

Season two is also introducing some new enemies for Geralt and Ciri. Rience, played by Chris Fulton, is a powerful mage who has been sent to hunt down Ciri after her disappearance.

But we’re also getting a completely original character, Ba’lian. We know that Ba’lian will be played by Kevin Doyle, who you’ll recognize from Downton Abbey, but that’s about it. With the exception of this ear that Doyle posted, we know zip about Ba’lian. But we’re here for it and cannot wait to learn more!

We’re so excited for next season! Our core cast of characters are returning, and we can’t wait to see how they interact with these new characters. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for more info as we get closer to the much awaited season 2!
