6 Shows to Watch If You Loved ‘Bridgerton’!

Netflix’s Bridgerton took the world by storm and it’s a crime that we have to wait so long in-between seasons. Here are 6 similar shows to watch in the meantime.

The second season of Bridgerton was one of the most highly-anticipated renewals in the history of television streaming. After a year-and-a-half wait, fans couldn’t wait to binge the new season, causing many to finish the 9 new episodes in a matter of days (if even).

Harlots

Set in the 18th century, Harlots focuses on brothel owner Margaret Wells as her business soon enters scandal with rival madam Lydia Quigley and her house across town. The Great

The Hulu hit chronicles the life of Catherine the Great as she arrives in Russia and becomes the longest-reigning female in the history of Russia. Starring Elle Fanning as Catherine, the satirical dramedy has been nominated for several Emmy awards and has been met with critical acclaim.

Dickinson

Starring Hailee Steinfeld, the Apple TV show details the life and times of critically-acclaimed poet Emily Dickinson. The series details the constraints and obstacles Dickinson faced as a woman in 19th century America whose family was prominent in their community.

The Crown

The hit Netflix show relays the life and times of Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family of England, chronicling back to 1947 and most recently up to 1988. Following the lives of royals such as Princess Anne, Prince Phillip, Princess Margaret, Prince Charles, and Princess Diana (just to name a few), the tea on this show (both literal and metaphorical) is piping.

Reign

Reign follows Mary, Queen of Scots as her marriage to Prince Francis acts as a catalyst to her rise in power in the French court. With four seasons available on Netlfix, Reign is a binge-worthy drama detailing the scandal of Mary’s life as a royal female monarch.

The Gilded Age

The Gilded Age on HBOMax chronicles this transformative era in American history. Featuring an all-star cast, The Gilded Age has drama and costumes that give Bridgerton a run for its money (plus Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, and Audra McDonald all in the same show).
