The Challenge: Vets and New Threats launches July 30 with veteran fan favorites and global reality stars teaming up for the ultimate showdown.
MTV is shaking things up with the premiere of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats, as seasoned competitors go head-to-head with a fresh crop of reality stars from around the globe. Season 41 of the long-running competition series kicks off Wednesday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET, following a launch special that dropped a week earlier on July 23.
Hosted once again by TJ Lavin, this season will introduce an exciting twist: each team consists of one veteran and one “new threat.” The launch special, which is available to watch on YouTube, features the contestants competing in an opening challenge that determines their entry order into the house and who they get to partner with.
In total, 32 contestants — 16 veterans and 16 new competitors — will battle it out in a series of intense physical and mental challenges for a shot at a massive cash prize.
The veteran lineup includes major franchise names such as Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Chris “CT” Tamburello, Aneesa Ferreira, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Ashley Mitchell. Other returning players include Michaela Bradshaw, Theo Campbell, Derrick Kosinski, and Nany González, among others.
The “new threats” are a diverse group pulled from reality shows across the globe, including Jake Cornish (Love Island UK), Leo Dionicio (Love Island: USA), Cedric Hodges, Blue Kim, and America Lopez (all from Big Brother Season 25), Izzy Fairthorne (Too Hot To Handle), Sydney Segal and Dee Valladares (Survivor), Adrienne Naylor (Married at First Sight: UK), and Tay Wilcoxson (Big Brother Australia), to name a few.
The Challenge: Vets and New Threats will air weekly on MTV, and viewers with participating TV providers can also stream episodes through MTV’s website or app. However, it won’t be available on other streaming platforms, as confirmed by a Paramount spokesperson.
With franchise legends returning and rising stars entering the arena, the new season promises explosive competition, dramatic alliances, and game-changing twists.
