Stranger Things 5 Trailer Ushers In Final Season

The official Stranger Things 5 trailer teases the epic final chapter, as the cast reveals what’s next for Eleven, Will, Max, and the Hawkins crew.

The end of an era is finally here. Netflix has released the official trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, giving fans their first look at the climactic showdown that will bring the beloved series to a close.

Titled Stranger Things 5, the final season will roll out in three parts: Volume 1 premieres November 26, 2025, Volume 2 arrives December 25, 2025, and The Finale will close out the series on December 31, 2025, all dropping at 5 p.m. PT.

In the newly unveiled trailer, it’s clear that the world of Hawkins has changed forever — and the stakes have never been higher. The cast, creators, and executive producers spoke to Tudum about where each character begins the final season and what fans can expect from the long-awaited conclusion.

Millie Bobby Brown shared that Eleven is in full “warrior mode” this season, focused entirely on protecting the people she loves. “All she is thinking about is protecting her friends,” Brown explained. “Her friends are her chosen family, so she will do whatever it takes to protect them — and we’re going to see that.”

Gaten Matarazzo revealed that Dustin is struggling under the pressure of the town’s dire state. “Everybody probably is, considering the state that Hawkins is in,” he said. “It’s getting a little bit harder for the gang to keep all the pieces together… we’re all dealing with the day-to-day issues of trying to keep everybody safe and figure out where Vecna is.”

For Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, the new season begins with no reprieve from the chaos that ended Season 4. “We haven’t defeated Vecna and the problem is still there,” McLaughlin explained. “Everyone is on edge and we’re all just trying to keep hope alive.”

After spending the last season away from Hawkins, Noah Schnapp’s Will returns home — and things escalate fast. “We hit the ground running right away this season,” Schnapp teased. “Everyone is all in one place and we all have the same objective.”

Sadie Sink offered an update on Max, who was last seen in a coma after her devastating showdown with Vecna. “Max is definitely not the way she once was,” Sink said. “There’s still a small glimmer of hope, though, and her friends are hanging on to that.”

Meanwhile, Finn Wolfhard revealed that Mike has stepped back into a leadership role, determined to guide the group through their most dangerous mission yet. “He and the whole gang are devoted to finding Vecna and ending this,” Wolfhard said.

According to creators Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer, fans should expect Stranger Things 5 to begin with chaos rather than calm. “This season is sprinting from the start,” Ross said, emphasizing that the group’s lives are anything but normal now. Matt added, “Nothing in Hawkins is normal anymore… their movement is restricted, and there are Big Brother cameras everywhere.”

Executive producer and director Shawn Levy promised that the series will go out with both spectacle and heart. “The action is next level, the visual effects are next level,” Levy said, “but I’m also happy to say that the emotional center remains the same. Even as the storytelling becomes more epic, it’s always anchored in these characters that we love.”

With the trailer finally out and the countdown underway, Stranger Things fans can prepare for one last journey into the Upside Down — where every moment counts and every character’s fate hangs in the balance.
