Fallout Renewed For Season 3 Ahead Of Season 2 Release

Fallout renewed for season 3 by Prime Video ahead of season 2 premiere, as cast teases return to Mojave and New Vegas in December 2025.

Fallout is surviving the apocalypse—and thriving. Prime Video has officially renewed the critically acclaimed hit series for a third season, months before its highly anticipated second season even premieres.

The announcement came during Amazon’s annual upfront presentation at New York’s Beacon Theatre on May 12, where cast members Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins took the stage to share the big news: Fallout Season Two will debut in December 2025. And with that, the bombshell—Fallout Season Three is already on the way.

Based on the legendary video game franchise, Fallout tells the story of a world devastated by nuclear catastrophe, where survivors from luxury underground vaults return to the irradiated surface, only to discover a chaotic and violent new world order. With its unique blend of satire, sci-fi, and survival, the series has captivated audiences across the globe.

Season One was a breakout success, amassing more than 100 million viewers worldwide and cementing its place among Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles ever. Its enormous popularity and critical praise helped pave the way for this early renewal.

“We are absolutely thrilled that our global Prime Video customers will be able to delve deeper into the wonderfully surreal and captivating world of Fallout,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done an exceptional job bringing this beloved video game franchise to vivid life on Prime Video.”

The series is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Kilter Films, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serving as creators, showrunners, and executive producers. The show is produced in partnership with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, with Todd Howard and James Altman also executive producing.

“The holidays came a little early this year—we are thrilled to be ending the world all over again for a third season of Fallout,” said Nolan and Joy. “On behalf of our brilliant cast and crew, our showrunners Geneva and Graham, and our partners at Bethesda, we’re grateful to our incredible collaborators at Amazon MGM Studios and to the amazing fans as we continue our adventures in the wasteland together.”

Robertson-Dworet and Wagner added, “We’re so grateful to have survived the apocalypse for another season! Thanks to the incredible team—our whole cast and crew, Kilter, and Amazon.”

The upcoming Season Two promises to take viewers even deeper into the chaos, continuing right where the explosive Season One finale left off. This time, the story will venture into the harsh Mojave desert and the ruins of the iconic post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Expect new dangers, new factions, and plenty of wasteland weirdness when the series returns this December.

Fallout stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Sweetpea), Aaron Moten (Emancipation, Father Stu), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys).

Fallout Season One is currently streaming on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
