Billie Eilish Dominates 2025 AMAs With 7 Big Wins

Billie Eilish wins artist, album, and song of the year at 2025 AMAs while Beyoncé scores big in country and Taylor Swift goes home empty-handed.

The 2025 American Music Awards were filled with surprises, but the biggest headline of the night belonged to Billie Eilish, who swept the show with an incredible seven wins. Despite being overseas on tour and absent from the event, the “Birds of a Feather” singer dominated the evening, taking home major honors including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, and Song of the Year for her viral hit “Birds of a Feather.”

Billie Eilish also claimed awards for Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Pop Album, Favorite Female Pop Artist, and Favorite Pop Song, cementing her status as the breakout star of the night.

Also making waves was Beyoncé, who made history with her win for Favorite Country Album for COWBOY CARTER. After previously being overlooked by the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards, the AMAs gave the megastar the recognition her fans had long awaited. Beyoncé also won Favorite Female Country Artist, further solidifying her impact on the genre.

While Billie Eilish and Beyoncé were the night’s biggest winners, it was a quieter evening for Taylor Swift, who, despite being nominated in several categories, walked away without any wins. Fans had speculated she might appear—either in person or virtually—to announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version), but their hopes were dashed.

Elsewhere, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Music Video for “Die With A Smile.” SZA picked up multiple trophies, including Favorite Female R&B Artist and Favorite R&B Song for “Saturn.” Eminem earned Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), while Kendrick Lamar secured Favorite Hip-Hop Song for “Not Like Us“.

Post Malone scored wins in both the pop and country lanes, nabbing Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song for “I Had Some Help,” his duet with Morgan Wallen.

Other notable winners included Gracie Abrams as New Artist of the Year, Doechii for Social Song of the Year with “Anxiety,” and Bad Bunny, who earned both Favorite Male Latin Artist and Favorite Latin Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MÁS FOToS.

On the rock side, Twenty One Pilots claimed Favorite Rock Artist and Favorite Rock Album for Clancy, while Linkin Park won Favorite Rock Song for “The Emptiness Machine“.

Additional standouts included The Weeknd as Favorite Male R&B Artist and for Favorite R&B Album with Hurry Up Tomorrow, Tyla as Favorite Afrobeats Artist, and RM of BTS fame taking Favorite K-pop Artist. The Arcane League of Legends: Season 2 soundtrack earned the top honor for Favorite Soundtrack.

The night also featured a moving moment as Rod Stewart received the Lifetime Achievement Award, performing his classic Forever Young. And in a long-awaited return to TV, Janet Jackson lit up the stage for the first time in seven years.

Though Taylor Swift was shut out, the 2025 AMAs belonged to Billie Eilish, whose musical reach and fanbase clearly resonated across the board.
