Prime Video Sets Countdown Premiere and Reveals First Looks

Prime Video releases first-look images and sets June 25 premiere for explosive new action series Countdown starring Jensen Ackles and Eric Dane.

Prime Video has officially locked in the premiere date for its highly anticipated new action thriller Countdown, and revealed first-look images teasing the adrenaline-fueled ride ahead. Created by Derek Haas, the executive producer behind One Chicago and FBI, the series will launch on Wednesday, June 25 with a special three-episode premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The star-studded cast is led by Jensen Ackles (The Boys, Supernatural), Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria), and Jessica Camacho (The Flash, Watchmen), with supporting roles from Violett Beane (Death and Other Details), Elliot Knight (The Boys), and Uli Latukefu (Young Rock).

In Countdown, the action kicks off when a Department of Homeland Security officer is brazenly murdered in broad daylight. LAPD detective Mark Meachum, played by Ackles, is pulled into a covert task force composed of agents from every major branch of law enforcement. Their mission: track down the killer. But what begins as a murder investigation quickly spirals into a high-stakes pursuit to stop a much darker conspiracy—one that threatens the lives of millions.
