With the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade, it’s understandable for women to start feeling powerless and need some inspiration. Here’s a list of a few of the most fearless women on TV to remind you of how powerful women are!

Something a lot of shows lack is strong female leads that can inspire young women to be fearless. Due to recent events, many women are feeling hopeless and vulnerable, so it’s easy to forget how amazing we really are. Here are some badass women to help inspire you!

Olivia Benson – Law & Order: SVU

One of the most iconic female roles on TV is definitely Olivia Benson. She worked her way from being a Detective up to Captain along with being the Commanding Officer of the Special Victims Unit. She does a phenomenal job showcasing her strength as a female leader as she persevered and made her way to the top through hard work and dedication. Benson is such a great role model and her character continues to inspire women everywhere!

Alex Levy – The Morning Show

Being an incredibly successful TV host is quite a big accomplishment and Alex Levy does it all so effortlessly. With the loss of her co-host, Levy is left to fix the chaos that erupted on her own in order to save her career. Her determination and work ethic is so inspiring to women who need that motivation to go for their dreams no matter how big they may be, just like Alex did.

Meredith Grey – Grey’s Anatomy

From going from intern to becoming head of general surgery, Meredith Grey is such an amazing role model for women everywhere. Although it wasn’t a super easy road for her, Grey worked hard to graduate medical school and get to the position she is now. She is such an iconic character for other women to look up to, especially the women in STEM!

Jules’ strength as a transgender woman is so admirable. She is always herself no matter what and her character does a great job encouraging others to feel empowered with who they are. When you think of a badass woman, Beth Dutton definitely falls into this category! This woman is not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believes in no matter what the circumstance. Her childhood was far from easy and she clearly has a lot of trauma from it, yet she stands strong and for that we commend her.

Annalise Keating – How To Get Away With Murder

Annalise Keating’s confidence and independence are something many women look up to and love about this character. This Harvard alum is a phenomenal lawyer and fierce criminal law professor who is well-respected by everyone around her. Considering that she’s one of the most intimidating defense lawyers in Pennsylvania, women should feel empowered by her ability to break through stereotypes and make her way to the top.

Eleven – Stranger Things

She may be small, but Eleven is definitely mighty. This Stranger Things icon has been a great influence on younger women who may be looking for someone to inspire them. Although this character is physically super strong with her unique powers, she also shows great strength in the way she carries herself. Eleven has been through a great deal of trauma and for her to be able to open up and trust people again shows how tough she is to overcome what she did. Her character displays enormous amounts of strength and women everywhere feel moved by her confidence.
