HBO releases first photos of Euphoria Season 3, teasing Rue, Jules, Nate, Cassie and others after a five-year time jump and new adult storylines.
After nearly four years, HBO is finally giving fans a glimpse into Euphoria Season 3. The first official photos were released on Friday, teasing where Rue (Zendaya), Jules (Hunter Schafer), Nate (Jacob Elordi), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Maddy (Alexa Demie), Lexi (Maude Apatow), and other characters have landed following a five-year time jump.

Season 3 picks up with the former teens now out of high school. Creator Sam Levinson explained that the time jump felt natural, allowing the characters to move beyond high school and college and explore adult challenges. Rue is shown south of the border in Mexico, in debt to drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly), trying to devise ways to pay it off. Meanwhile, Cassie and Nate are engaged, living in the suburbs, with Cassie struggling with social media obsession and envy of her high school peers. Levinson confirmed that they will marry before the end of the season.
The new season also provides updates on other characters. Jules is in art school and anxious about her painting career. Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency while juggling other “side hustles.” Lexi has become a showrunner’s assistant, working alongside a new character played by Sharon Stone.
The photos offer subtle hints of the characters’ adult lives: Rue sits alone in a church and is also seen in a truck, Jules is in an art studio, Nate cooks in a suburban kitchen, and Cassie stands outside a house holding a melting ice cream cone. Lexi and Maddy are shown together on a film set, with Lexi wearing a crew pass and Maddy looking glamorous.
Not every familiar face will return for Season 3. Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat, decided not to return, feeling her character had no direction. Storm Reid, who played Rue’s sister Gia, also will not appear, and Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, tragically passed away in 2023 from an accidental overdose.
HBO also shared new footage of Season 3 as part of a larger trailer during their presentation, offering fans a first taste of the upcoming drama, romance, and character evolution. Euphoria Season 3 is set to premiere in April 2026, bringing the story of these complex characters into a new chapter of adulthood, consequences, and relationships.
