What We Do in the Shadows season 2, episodes 1 and 2 “Ressurection” and “Ghosts”

The vampire housemates recount highlights from the last few months to us, particularly Lazlo and Nadja’s trouble keeping a new familiar alive, before landing on house newcomer, Topher (Haley Joel Osment). Everyone is thrilled to have Topher except Guillermo, who’s been working double time slaying vampire assassins breaking into the house. Topher’s inexperience gets the best of him when he accidentally kills himself in the yard. Dismayed by the loss of their new favorite person, the vampires visit Nadja’s necromancer friend, Wallace (Bendict Wong), to ressurrect Topher. As Lazlo suspected, Wallace is a charlatan and the spell turns Topher into a zombie, further stressing Guillermo.

In the following episode, the house is infested with ghosts. After being mocked by the men during her seance, Nadja discovers it’s her old lover Jeff (Jake McDorman) who is haunting them. Now that they know ghosts are real, the vampires ponder whether their undead selves also have ghosts, and successfully summon them. Each gets to know their incoporal counterpart and helps them fulfill their unfinished business, to varying degrees of success.
