What’s Coming to Netflix In July 2023!

Viewers have something to look forward to next month, with Netflix Originals premiering, movies being added, and returning seasons of our favorite TV shows!

Every month new TV shows and movies are added to Netflix. From The Witcher Season 3 to The Outlaws with Adam Devine, the month of July is full of exciting premieres fans won’t want to miss.

New Netflix Originals:

Bird Box Barcelona – July 14, 2023

Starring Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, and Diego Calva, the spinoff for Bird Box (2018) follows father Sebastián and his daughter after a mysterious existence destroys the population, leading those who come into contact with it to take their own lives. Their journey of survival is documented as they form alliances and fight against the force taking over the world.

They Cloned Tyrone – July 21, 2023

Starring Jamie Foxx, John Boyega, and Teyonah Parris, this sci-fi comedy follows an unlikely trio after a number of strange events see them investigating a government conspiracy.

The Outlaws – July 7, 2023

Not much is known about the plot of his Happy Madison produced action-comedy, but Netflix released this description: “Owen Browning is a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker. When his bank is held up by the Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws who just arrived in town are the infamous outlaws”. Starring Adam Devine, Pierce Brosnan, and Nina Dobrev, we cannot wait to watch this when it comes out on July 7.

Survival of the Thickest – July 13, 2023

In a collaboration with A24, this comedy TV show stars Michelle Buteau and is inspired by her own book of essays with the same title. Netflix provided an official description on their website saying “After a bad breakup, passionate stylist Mavis Beaumont seizes the opportunity to start over in life and love while finding happiness on her own terms.”

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 – Volume 1: July 6, 2023/Volume 2: August 3, 2023

After a year since the first season, audiences now have a Season 2 release date to look forward to. The legal drama is returning on July 6 and will premiere in two installments, with the second half available to stream on Aug. 3. Netflix has released first-look photos of what fans can expect in Season 2, and there are exciting new additions to the cast. Lana Parrilla will play the role of Lisa Trammel who has been accused of murdering a real estate developer. After Season 1’s conclusion of the Trevor Elliot case, Mickey Haller will have to defend Trammel.

Sweet Magnolias Season 3 – July 20, 2023

The wait is almost over! Sweet Magnolias will return for its third season on July 20. For those who haven’t seen it, the show follows three best friends Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue in Serenity, South Carolina as they support each other through the twists and turns of family dynamics, relationships, and their careers. The show recently announced the recasting of Katie Townsend, daughter of divorced characters Maddie and Bill. Ella Grace Helton will take on the role from its original actress Bianca Berry Tarantino. Last season ended on several dramatic cliffhangers that left fans on the edge of their seats; from Ryan’s proposal to Helen to Cal’s arrest, viewers can look forward to having their questions answered next month!

The Witcher Season 3 – Volume 1: June 29, 2023/Volume 2: July 27, 2023

Another two part release, the hit fantasy adventure show The Witcher’s first volume will premiere on June 29, and Volume 2 will be released on July 27. For those who haven’t seen it, the show follows hunter Geralt of Riva who has supernatural capabilities that allow him to find and kill mythical monsters. Season 3 will consist of Geralt trying to protect the show’s lead heroine Ciri of Cintra. Fans of the show were shocked when Henry Cavill, who portrays Geralt, announced that the third season would be his last, so this season is definitely not one to miss!

Bridesmaids (2011)

This Paul Feig-directed movie follows the rivalry between the maid of honor and bridesmaid as they support their best friend, the bride in the weeks leading up to her wedding. Featuring an ensemble cast of Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Melissa McCarthy, there is no shortage of memorable moments that are sure to make you laugh!

White House Down (2013)

Starring Jamie Foxx, Channing Tatum, and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the story follows Capitol policeman John Cale and his daughter after a tour of the White House is invaded by a group of paramilitary engineers. Cale is tasked with protecting his daughter and the President in this action flick.

Thank You For Your Service (2017)

In this war drama starring Miles Teller, a group of U.S. soldiers return from Iraq but struggle to transition back into civilian life while painful memories of the war are still with them.

Warm Bodies (2013)

Starring Nicholas Hoult and Theresa Palmer, this zombie comedy follows the relationship between a zombie who saves a still-living woman from an attack as they navigate a world split between zombies and humans.
