With the writer strike and other setbacks occurring, some of Marvel’s upcoming projects have been delayed. Here’s a breakdown of the updated timeline for the MCU’s upcoming movies and TV shows!
Secret Invasion: June 21, 2023
Even though this one is already out, we felt it was important to include. Secret Invasion is a six-episode miniseries featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The show follows Fury as he teams up with Talos to stop a group of Skrulls from infiltrating and gaining control of the Marvel Universe. Other characters joining the cast include Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes. This is the first series in Phase Five of the MCU. It’s been a while since the audience has seen the beloved Nick Fury, so be sure to be watching his return on Disney+ now!
Loki Season 2: October 6, 2023
Fans have been awaiting the return of Loki since the first season dropped in June 2021. Luckily, the wait is almost over! Tom Hiddleston will return for season 2, which begins streaming on Disney+ in October. While we don’t know much about the storyline yet, it is confirmed that there will be six episodes. Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Jonathan Majors will also reprise their roles from season 1. We’re counting down the days until October 6th!
The Marvels: November 10, 2023
The Marvels is an upcoming film featuring Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Ms. Marvel. After Monica’s powers become entangled with Captain Marvel’s and Ms. Marvel’s, the trio teams up to discover why the entanglement causes them to swap places every time they use their powers. Samuel L. Jackson will also make an appearance in this film as Nick Fury. We can’t wait to see these three amazing heroes team up in theaters on November 10th!
Echo Season 1: November 29, 2023
A spinoff of the Hawkeye series, Echo features Maya Lopez as she returns home from New York and reconnects with her past and Native American heritage. Alaqua Cox will reprise her role as Maya Lopez. Again, we don’t know much about the plot, but something interesting to note is that Charlie Cox is listed in the cast, reprising his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. We’re interested to see what Marvel will do with both Echo and Daredevil’s characters. Catch this series on Disney+ on November 29!
