Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and brand-new photos for The Witcher season 4, confirming the fantasy drama will return on October 30, 2025. The highly anticipated season places Ciri at the heart of a fractured Continent as war escalates and alliances shift.
Following the world-changing events of season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are torn apart by conflict and surrounded by powerful enemies. As their separate journeys unfold, each character’s goals sharpen while they encounter unexpected new allies. The logline teases that if they can accept these found families, there may still be hope for a true reunion.
Season 4 will consist of eight episodes, each running 50 minutes. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich returns as creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The season’s writing team also includes Tania Lotia, Rae Benjamin, Troy Dangerfield, Matthew D’Ambrosio, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Clare Higgins, and Mike Ostrowski.
The directing slate features Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (episodes 401 & 402), Tricia Brock (403 & 404), Alex Garcia Lopez (405 & 406), and Jeremy Webb (407 & 408).
Executive producers include Hissrich, Steve Gaub, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Platige Films’ Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko, and Hivemind Content’s Jason Brown and Sean Daniel.
The new season also introduces Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, taking on the role from Henry Cavill. He stars alongside returning cast members Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra), and Joey Batey (Jaskier).
