Sesame Street is back in a fresh new way, and the official trailer and key art have finally arrived. The reimagined season of the beloved children’s series launches Monday, November 10, on Netflix, marking the first time the show will debut on the platform in more than 30 languages globally. Originally premiering on November 10, 1969, Sesame Street now enters a new era designed to engage kids more deeply through interactive storytelling, humor, and heart.

This season invites viewers inside the iconic brownstone at 123 Sesame Street like never before, offering playful episodes full of comedy, original music, celebrity guests, and an all-new animated segment titled Tales from 123. The refreshed format emphasizes playability and immersion while staying rooted in the core values the show is known for—kindness, compassion, and problem-solving.

Interactive New Format & Heartfelt Lessons

Each episode will now feature visually captivating, interactive 11-minute stories that put children at the center of the action. The season is structured in three volumes, and the first volume will feature special guest Bubba Wallace, a professional race car driver and NASCAR champion.

Throughout the season, familiar characters will help young viewers navigate themes of empathy, friendship, and cooperation. From cheering up a friend to learning how to share and take turns, every episode delivers meaningful lessons blended with laugh-out-loud surprises.

Producer’s Insight

Sesame Street Executive Producer Sal Perez shared what makes this season special, stating:

“Season 56 reimagines Sesame Street, inviting children into the action and bringing them hand-in-hand through high-stakes stories, powerful learning moments, and laugh-out-loud surprises. And, as always, Sesame Street’s curriculum is designed to meet children’s most pressing needs — so our focus this season is on kindness and compassion, something we can all use more of today.”
