Paige DeSorbo announced she’s leaving Summer House after seven unforgettable seasons, saying goodbye to the show that changed her life.
Summer House is saying goodbye to one of its most beloved cast members. Paige DeSorbo, who first joined the hit Bravo reality series in Season 3 back in 2019, has confirmed she will not be returning for another summer in the Hamptons.
In an emotional message shared to her Instagram Stories on June 5, the 32-year-old Giggly Squad podcast cohost revealed her decision to leave Summer House following the recent Season 9 reunion, which aired on June 4.
“I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House,” Paige DeSorbo shared. “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the drama, the giggles. All unforgettable.”
Since her debut, Paige DeSorbo has become a staple on the show, quickly winning over fans with her quick wit, impeccable fashion sense, and no-nonsense approach to Hamptons drama. Reflecting on her time on the series, she noted, “You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me.”
Still, the Bravo star acknowledged that it was time to move on. “But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close,” she wrote. “To my castmates, the fans, and my NBCU family: thank you. I never could’ve imagined what this journey would turn into – and how many of you would be along for the ride.”
Though her Summer Housechapter is ending, Paige DeSorbo assured fans she’s not disappearing anytime soon. “And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise,” she teased, signing off with, “So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.”
Her decision doesn’t come as a complete surprise to fans who’ve followed her off-camera evolution. In an April interview with Glamour, Paige DeSorbo hinted that her time on the party-centric series might be winding down. “There’s an end date for me at some point,” she admitted. “With the lifestyle of Summer House specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore.”
As her professional life continues to thrive, Paige DeSorbo admitted that the wild party weekends that define the show no longer match her pace. “I’m probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old, and I get that,” she said. “I would stay on reality TV, but it’s only fun and real if it’s your lifestyle, and as I get older, I am straying away more and more from partying every weekend.”
Adding with her signature humor, she quipped, “I really can’t drink two nights in a row; I will pass away.”
Following her November split from boyfriend Craig Conover, Paige DeSorbo also addressed speculation about a possible move to The Real Housewives of New York City. While flattered by the idea, she clarified it’s not on her immediate radar. “I would never say never, but it’s not something I’m working toward.”
As Summer House prepares for a new era without Paige DeSorbo, fans can only hope she won’t be gone from their screens for long.
