Looking Back at Our Favorite Little Mix Moments!

Pop group Little Mix announced their “break” following their upcoming “Confetti” Tour. Here are a few of our favorite Little Mix moments to tide you over!

In a post on Instagram on December 2nd, pop-group Little Mix announced they will be taking a break from the band following their 2022 Confetti tour. After 10 years as a group, the girls will be taking some time to focus on other aspects of their lives, and can we blame them? Both Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock became mothers in 2021, along with Leigh-Anne getting engaged to her long-time love Andre Gray. Member Jesy Nelson announced she was leaving the group in December 2020, stating that the band had recently taken a toll on her mental health. Nelson was open about her mental health struggles in her 2019 documentary “Odd One Out” and has since begun her solo career with the single “Boyz” ft. Nicki Minaj. The girl group released their greatest hits album Between Us this November.

Although we’ve received quite a bit of content this past year from our favorite British pop group, we know from experience (*cough* One Direction *cough*) that these breaks are hard. Here are a few of our favorite Little Mix moments to keep you company while the girls focus on themselves and their passions!

Obviously, we have to start where it all began… The X Factor!

Luckily for us, The X Factor has compiled the entire Little Mix experience into one long YouTube video. The girls were formed into a pop group, originally starting with the name Rhythmix! And, can we say that these looks were very “of the times”?!

Of course, we must include their debut single and music video for “Wings”!

“Wings” was released on July 25th, 2021, and appeared on DNA, the group’s debut album. The video features some iconic mid-2000s looks, which we will never forget! If there’s one thing Little Mix slays, it’s music videos. And you can be sure that there will be several on this list!

We can’t mention Little Mix without showing off this iconic video. The girls sang their hit “How Ya Doin?” acapella on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”, which got some major attention.

Honestly, in our eyes, it’s impossible to see this video and say these girls don’t deserve a Grammy!

Another iconic music video we must mention is our favorite tune off the album Get Weird… “Hair” (Feat. Sean Paul).

This video is everything we need in a slumber party, am I right? These matching Pj sets really steal the show, but this music video is up there as one of our favorite Little Mix moments ever!

Perrie Edwards shouted out her ex Zayn Malik in this iconic performance at the Jingle Bell Ball from 2017!

Odds are you’ve seen clips from this performance online, and while the hint at drama is fun at the moment, we are happy to see both singers happy and successful today! It’s speculated that the hit single “Shout Out to My Ex” is based on Perrie’s breakup with former One Direction fiance, which shocked both fanbases back in 2015. Perrie is happily dating English soccer player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the two welcomed their first child Axel this year.

Do you need a woman like the ones in Little Mix? Short answer: yes.

This Brits performance of “Woman Like Me” feat Ms. Banks truly rocked our world in 2019. This hit from their LM5 album originally features Nicki Minaj, but unfortunately, Nicki wasn’t able to attend the award show. This single really sparked a new era for the girls and brought us one of the best singles and music videos of their careers.

From their debut single to their recent greatest hits album, Little Mix will always be a legendary girl group, both in the UK and around the world. Although this break may be hard for fans, it’s important to remember all the great times and content we’ve received from the group throughout the past ten years. We wish them all the best and can’t wait for the reunion tour in a few years!
