Lexi Wood announces exit from Summer House after a tumultuous season, saying she stood up for women and walked away with no regrets.
The model and fashion influencer confirmed her departure from the Bravo reality series on June 6 via Instagram Stories, just one day after the explosive Summer House season 9 reunion aired. Though her time on the show was short-lived, Lexi Wood made it clear she’s leaving on her own terms.
“Well… that wasn’t the summer I signed up for,” she wrote, “but it definitely taught me a lot.” Wood continued, “I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy and I’d do that again in a heartbeat.”
Reflecting on her season-long experience, she added, “I’m leaving Summer House with no regrets (Well… maybe one),” and ended her statement on a hopeful note: “Big things are coming! Stay tuned!”
Much of Wood’s storyline in season 9 centered on her rocky relationship with Jesse Solomon, who she eventually broke up with during the season. In an earlier interview with The Daily Dish, Wood didn’t hold back in describing her ex’s behavior in the house.
“I think he lied so [much] to so many people, all over the place, on and off camera,” she said. “He created just such a mess and such a huge confusion for everyone… he completely manipulated relationships to form against each other which I think is awful.”
The 27-year-old also revealed how damaging it was to watch the season back and see what Solomon had said behind her back. “Seeing everything that has been said… by the person I trusted the most, I think that’s been the most hurtful.”
During episode 14 of the season, viewers watched Wood call it quits with Solomon after confronting him over multiple issues, including being dishonest about a bizarre toe-sucking story and claiming to be getting a manicure at 9 P.M. to avoid meeting her and her friends.
“You’ve changed me,” she told Solomon in the emotional breakup. “I no longer trust people like I did at the start of the summer. I feel like the light in me is slowly dying because I’m exhausted from teaching you.”
Wood’s exit follows another major cast departure — Summer House veteran Paige DeSorbo also announced she will not return for the upcoming season. In a June 5 Instagram Story, DeSorbo said, “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable.”
DeSorbo, who joined Summer House in season 3 back in 2019, thanked fans and her Bravo family while teasing that her journey isn’t over. “You haven’t seen the last of me, I promise,” she wrote. “So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.”
With two fashion-forward stars exiting Summer House, the future of the show’s lineup remains uncertain — but one thing is clear: both women are ready for what’s next.
