Justin Bieber announces Swag II, his second surprise album of 2025, with a midnight release, global billboards, and a new fashion drop.
Justin Bieber is keeping fans on their toes with another midnight surprise. The Canadian pop star revealed that his brand-new album, Swag II, will be released tonight at midnight, marking his second surprise drop of 2025.
The announcement came via Instagram, where Justin Bieber posted a series of photos showcasing vibrant pink electronic billboards in cities including Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and Shanghai. The simple but striking signs displayed the words Swag II, teasing fans ahead of the big reveal. Justin Bieber captioned his posts with messages like “swag II tonight at midnight” and simply “tonight,” fueling even more excitement online.

Swag II arrives just two months after the release of Justin Bieber’s previous album, Swag, which dropped without warning on July 11. That project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, moving the equivalent of 163,000 album units in its first week in the U.S., according to Luminate. Sixteen of its tracks also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with the fan favorite “Daisies” peaking at No. 2.
To mark the release of Swag II, Justin Bieber is also launching a capsule collection from his clothing brand, SKYLRK. The limited-edition drop will include a pullover hoodie, zip-up hoodie, beanie, and tank top, all in the same shade of pink featured on the Swag II album cover. The collection will be available when the album officially goes live at midnight.
This surprise album strategy has become something of a signature move for Justin Bieber in 2025. Just like with Swag, which he announced a mere 10 hours before release, the singer is once again leaning into the unexpected to keep Beliebers guessing.
Fans can expect Swag II to be available on all major streaming platforms immediately following its midnight release, alongside the SKYLRK merch drop.
