Jack Black and Paul Rudd Star in Anaconda Reboot

Jack Black and Paul Rudd team up in comedy action reboot Anaconda, hitting theaters on Christmas day 2025 with a hilarious amazonian twist.

This holiday season, the jungle is getting wilder than ever. The official trailer, poster, and photos have dropped for Anaconda, a comedy-action-adventure film that slithers into theaters on December 25, 2025.

The movie follows lifelong best friends Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd), who have always dreamed of remaking their favorite so-bad-it’s-good film, the cult “classic” Anaconda. When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally chase that dream, the duo ventures deep into the Amazon with plans to bring their outrageous vision to life. But things take a dangerously unexpected turn when an actual giant anaconda shows up, transforming their goofy DIY movie set into a fight for survival.

As the synopsis teases, “The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed…”

Star-Studded Cast And Creative Team

Alongside Jack Black and Paul Rudd, the ensemble cast includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, all caught up in the deadly chaos of the Amazon.

The film is directed by Tom Gormican, who also co-wrote the script with Kevin Etten. The producing team features Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Kevin Etten, and Tom Gormican, with Samson Mücke serving as executive producer.

Genre-Bending Adventure

Blending action, comedy, and adventure, Anaconda is designed as both a parody and a love letter to over-the-top monster movies. With big stakes and even bigger snakes, the film promises equal parts laughs, thrills, and outrageous jungle escapades.

The film has not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association.

Moviegoers can mark their calendars now—this Anaconda reboot is set to slither onto the big screen exclusively in theaters on Christmas Day 2025.
