Is It Cake? Halloween Premieres On Netflix October 8

Netflix has announced Is It Cake? Halloween premiering October 8 with host Mikey Day, nine new bakers, and celebrity judges in a spooky competition.

Netflix is serving up sweet scares this fall with the return of Is It Cake?—but this time, it’s getting a frightful twist. The streamer revealed that Is It Cake? Halloween will premiere on October 8, 2025, with a spookier format, new bakers, and plenty of tricks and treats.

The hit competition series, hosted once again by Mikey Day, brings together nine of the best hyper-realistic cake artists for a Halloween-themed showdown. Each contestant will attempt to fool a rotating panel of celebrity judges with cakes so scarily lifelike, they’ll have everyone second-guessing what’s edible and what’s not. At stake is both a share of the prize pot and the coveted title of Is It Cake? Halloween champion.

This special season will feature four 40-minute episodes, produced by Alfred Street Industries. The executive producing team includes Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Andrew Wallace, and Cat Sullivan.

The new cast of bakers competing in the Halloween edition includes Andrea Ortiz Fuentes, Annabel De Vetten, Brad Lamb, Breon Roundtree, Paul Bosley, Ronique Briggs, Regina Walker, Sonny Robinson, and Vanessa Barcelo.

To decide their fate, the bakers must impress a lineup of celebrity judges who will try to determine whether what they see is cake—or not. Judges appearing across the season include Chelsea Peretti, Gillian Jacobs, Harvey Guillén, Jack McBrayer, Kevin Nealon, Melissa Joan Hart, Pete Holmes, Rachel Feinstein, Ravi V. Patel, Ron Funches, Whitney Cummings, and Yvonne Orji.

The series has long entertained viewers with its blend of comedy, artistry, and the ultimate guessing game, but this Halloween version promises an extra layer of thrills. With over-the-top designs, creepy confections, and the high stakes of elimination, Is It Cake? Halloween will keep fans asking the ultimate question: is it cake?

Mark your calendars—Netflix is bringing sweet nightmares and sugary illusions when Is It Cake? Halloween drops October 8.
