Frankenstein Trailer Ignites With Haunting Spectacle

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein trailer debuts as Hollywood is transformed by eerie projections, drone lightning displays, and dramatic celebrations ahead of the film’s Netflix release.

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and new images for Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated adaptation of Mary Shelley’s iconic gothic tale—and the debut was nothing short of electrifying. In true Halloween spirit, Hollywood was transformed into a cinematic storm zone to celebrate the upcoming release.

On the night of October 30, festivities began with a breathtaking display above Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Hundreds of drones illuminated the sky, spelling out a massive 650-foot-wide “FRANKENSTEIN” title and crafting a dramatic lightning storm in the air, setting a chilling tone for what’s to come.

The celebration intensified as Frankenstein took over Hollywood landmarks. Capitol Records and the TCL Chinese Theatre will be engulfed in haunting projection mapping, while synchronized, drone-powered lightning strikes will light up the skies above the city. The result: Los Angeles becomes a storm-charged tribute to del Toro’s dark, emotional retelling of the classic story.
