Five Must-Watch Movies Releasing In June 2022!

Fans can’t wait for these five movies to come out this month! Do you know what movies they are? Let’s take a look!

Who craves the thrill of going to the movie theater or to a film festival with your friends and family, especially on a Friday night? Well, since things are partially back to normal, we have been able to start doing those nostalgic things again! That familiar excitement that runs through our bodies when the lights start to dim, with a box of popcorn in our laps, while looking at our friends with joy. Who misses that feeling?

Lucky for you, we have five movies, some that even feel nostalgic, that are coming your way:

Jurassic World: Dominion

While Jurassic Park fans struggle to contain their excitement for this movie, they are also sad that this is the last movie of its trilogy. Rewind back to June 11, 1993, where the first ever installment, was released. Now fast forward to June 10th, 2022, nearly 29 years later, where the Jurassic World: Dominion movie will be released, making it the end of the Jurassic era.

Fans are more excited to see the original characters from the Jurassic Park trilogy, in Jurassic World: Dominion, making it nostalgic for them. You will see all your favorite original characters like Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and of course, Dr. Ian Malcom.

It has definitely been a journey for all Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, but there is still hope for more in the future.

When asked if Jurassic World: Dominion will be a “start of a new era”, Frank Marshall, producer of all sixth Jurassic installments, had stated in Inside The Magic:

“I think Dominion’s going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, Camp Cretaceous, on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the Jurassic world.”

Make sure to check out Jurassic World: Dominion in theaters on June 10, 2022!

Lightyear

The title, Lightyear, definitely is familiar maybe even nostalgic because it relates to your childhood. The film is based on Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies and kids that grew up in the mid 1990’s and 2000’s are wildly excited for this movie.

This spin-off will have you shocked that Tim Allen will not be the voice of Buzz Lightyear. Instead, Chris Evans will be taking over as Buzz, the same actor who plays Captain America in Marvel movies.

Make sure to watch Lightyear in theaters on June 17th, 2022!

Elvis

Hey Siri, play “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis. What a perfect song for a perfect movie. While Elvis fans can’t wait for this movie, others have been confused, shocked, and even hurt that Hollywood has never produced a true Elvis Presley biopic before.

All that changes on June 24th, 2022, though, as Elvis will be released in theaters! What makes this film so much more exciting is Austin Butler, Hollywood heart-throb and American actor, will be starring as Elvis Presley himself.

Other big names will be starring in this extraordinary film such as Tom Hanks, Dacre Montgomery (Billy from Stranger Things), Maggie Gyllnhaal, and more. Make sure to check it out on June 24th, 2022!

Black Phone

Calling all Ethan Hawke fans! Black Phone, a Blumhouse Production, is set to release on June 24th, 2022! This short film is set in Denver, Colorado in 1978, where thirteen-year-old Finney, an insecure suburban kid, lives with his feisty sister, Gwen, and his alcoholic father.

Once Finney’s friends start vanishing, all fingers point to “The Grabber” (played by Ethan Hawke) – a child abductor and killer. Everything starts going sideways as Finney encounters, who he believes is a magician, but actually is “The Grabber” himself.

But what happens next? Check out the movie to find out! You can watch Black Phone in theaters on June 24th, 2022, or the 2022 Tribeca Festival, which releases the film on June 18th and June 19th of 2022.

Beba
