First Look At Spider-Noir Series Starring Nicolas Cage

The first look for the highly anticipated Spider-Noir series starring Nicolas Cage was revealed during the Amazon upfront ahead of the 2026 premiere.

The Spider-Verse is expanding in dramatic noir style, and fans just got their first glimpse of what’s to come. During Amazon’s annual upfront presentation, MGM+ and Prime Video dropped the first official image from the upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage in the title role.

Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the series reimagines the beloved superhero in gritty 1930s New York. Nicholas Cage plays an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator who is forced to confront his long-buried past—as the city’s one and only masked crime-fighting hero. The newly released image teases that transformation, showcasing Cage fully suited up in the iconic, shadow-drenched costume that fans have been eager to see in live action.

Spider-Noir will be offered in both black-and-white and color formats, giving audiences a choice in how they experience its moody, period-driven aesthetic.

The series boasts a stacked cast alongside Nicholas Cage, including Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. A host of guest stars has also been announced, featuring Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Behind the camera, the show has serious pedigree. Emmy Award-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) is set to direct and executive produce the first two episodes. Showrunners Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram) will co-lead the series’ creative direction.

Uziel and Lightfoot developed Spider-Noir in collaboration with the Oscar-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Lord and Miller executive produce for their company Lord Miller, along with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear, while Pascal executive produces under her banner Pascal Pictures.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the show will premiere domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, followed by a global launch on Prime Video the next day, reaching over 240 countries and territories.

With Nicholas Cage stepping into a fan-favorite universe and an A-list team of talent supporting him, Spider-Noir is shaping up to be a must-watch for Marvel fans and noir aficionados alike when it swings into action in 2026.
