Marvel Studios The Fantastic Four Casting Reactions

Marvel finds its first family in Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn for their upcoming film.

Marvel Studios sent fans a heartfelt Valentine’s Day greeting with the announcement of The Fantastic Four cast! The long-awaited news came embellished with a retro illustration of our heroes, ripped straight out of the original 1961 comic series.

The film is set to star Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic and is joined by Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

Feeling the love, comic book fans shared their online excitement over the first family’s long-awaited casting!

A true nerd at heart, Pedro previously starred in HBO’s Game of Thrones as the charismatic Oberyn Martell, Joel Miller in the breakout series The Last of Us and the blaster-slinging Din Djarin in Disney+’s The Mandalorian.

With an expansive career of portraying fan-adored characters, we’re not surprised to see him land the leading role of The Fantastic Four!

Coming off the heels of Napoleon and Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Vanessa Kirby is set to star as the Invisible Woman! Vanessa rose to stardom as Princess Margaret in Netflix’s The Crown before earning herself an Oscar nomination for her performance in 2020’s Pieces of A Woman.

The Marvel newcomer teased her interest for the role as Susan Storm last year, telling Variety that it would be an honor to play Sue Storm. Fans certainly honor this casting choice for the Invisible Woman, as Vanessa is a mirror image of Sue Storm’s blonde-haired, blue-eyed comic book likeness!

Coming off an Emmy win for his performance as Richard “Richie” Jerimovich on FX’s The Bear, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s casting as Ben Grimm has fans excited to see him clobberin’ up the screen, as the titular orange man with boulders for a body!

Season 4 of Stranger Things introduced us to the shrewd rockstar, Eddie Munson, played by rising star Joseph Quinn. The 30-year-old actor will light up the screen as Johnny Storm for what seems to be his next iconic role!

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four comes to theaters July 25, 2025!
