Acclaimed horror filmmaker James Wan produces the Al doll horror M3GAN with Blumhouse Productions. The film is directed by New Zealand filmmaker Gerard Johnstone, who previously made the horror comedy Housebound. The story is written by Akela Cooper and James Wan himself. Wan’s stories often feature a creepy doll- cue Saw & Annabelle – M3GAN, however, seems to be a full-fledged doll horror and its eerie atmosphere reminds us of Orphan and The Boy with a sprinkle of Chucky.
The Pale Blue Eye: Jan 6, 2023
Gothic horror starring Christian Bale in The Pale Blue Eye (2022) coming to cinemas on 23rd December and on Netflix in January 2023, this one I don’t want to miss! #horror pic.twitter.com/L0sON6bgLh

Scott Cooper’s Netflix horror thriller The Pale Blue Eye is an adaptation of Louis Bayard’s 2003 novel. It’s a story of conspiracy and murder, set in the year 1830. A veteran detective named Agustus Landor (Christian Bale) sets out to investigate the murder of a young cadet at West Point Military Academy. A fellow cadet helps the detective to decipher the clues and find the culprit. Director Cooper has recently made the grim, powerful eco-horror movie Antlers. So, there’s much anticipation on how he’s handled this period horror.
Last Voyage of Demeter: Jan 27, 2023
Cheers to director André Øvredal and his talented cast and hardy crew on the completion of principal photography for THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER. You are the lifeblood of this creative endeavor, and as we all know, the blood is the life… pic.twitter.com/JsC87T3Ruu

While the Nicholas Cage vampire movie Renfield will provide a goofy, horror-comedy look at Dracula’s often-forgotten henchman, Last Voyage of the Demeter has found another original route to retelling the Count’s creepy story. A clever, fresh way to revisit the classic tale with a stellar cast including Aisling Franciosi, David Dastmalchian, and Liam Cunningham, this André Ovredal horror has plenty of potential.
Unwelcome: Jan 27, 2023
“UNWELCOME” will be out in 2023. pic.twitter.com/LVShgGbRy3

Unwelcome seems like an eerie folk horror with a touch of home invasion. The trailer shows a married young couple Maya (Hannah John-Kamen) and Jamie (Douglas Booth) moving to their inherited home, situated in rural Ireland. The couple is soon terrorized by malevolent creatures lurking in their garden. This unsettling horror is definitely one to look out for.

M. Night Shyamalan hits us with another movie to give us anxiety. Similar to the director’s previous works The Visit and Split, Knock at the Cabin unfolds in tight spaces. Here, it is a remote cabin, where a gay couple takes their little adopted daughter for a getaway trip. Soon, four strangers hail from the woods and the family of three is taken hostage. We are excited to see some familiar faces like Dave Bautista and Rupert Grint in this home-invasion horror!

In the 6th installment of Scream, Jenna Ortega stars alongside the Scream 5 cast members for a much gorier Ghostface – off in New York. We expect this to be a clever meta-horror like the other entries in the franchise.
The Pope’s Exorcist: April 7, 2023
.@RussellCrowe stars in #ThePopesExorcist, inspired by the actual memoirs of Father Gabriele Amorth, The Vatican’s Chief Exorcist. Now in production. pic.twitter.com/JEeDQr4rRu

The Pope’s Exorcist is a historical horror, allegedly based on the events of real-life Italian priest Gabriele Amorth. Father Gabriele is known as the Vatican’s chief exorcist. He is said to have performed more than 100,000 exorcisms. The Exorcist director William Friedkin has already made a documentary on Father Gabriele, where this film stars Russell Crowe as the Italian priest. With no trailer released just yet, it’s up to your imagination to see what supernatural adventure this movie might take us on.
Evil Dead Rise: April 21, 2023
First look at ‘EVIL DEAD RISE’.

Fede Alvarez’s 2013 reboot of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead lacked the campy fun of the original movies. We have to wait and see if Lee Cronin’s new Evil Dead movie features the right mix of action, dark humor, and horror like Sam Raimi’s original. Evil Dead Rise will once again return to the haunted cabin in the woods.
Insidious 5: July 7, 2023
Patrick Wilson’s directorial debut ‘INSIDIOUS 5’ will release on July 7, 2023.
The film is 10 years after the last installment, as Ty Simpkins’ Dalton begins college.

The Lambert family will return to the horror franchise in Insidious 5, which is set ten years after the first Insidious film. The Lamberts will probably once again head back into the evil realm of The Further. The last two films in the Insidious franchise didn’t focus on the Lambert family, so there’s much anticipation to witness the Lamberts’ terrifying struggles once again.
Saw 10: October 27, 2023

James Wan is at it again, with the Saw horror powerhouse receiving its next sequel: Saw 10. The Saw franchise has certainly had its ups and downs, with several of the movies missing the mark and other surprise sleeper hits reaching fan-favorite status. The big news surrounding Saw 10, however, is that director Kevin Greutert will be sitting in the director’s chair. So far, the only cast member to be revealed is Tobin Bell, who will presumably be playing John Kramer. Saw 10 will release just in time for Halloween 2023 and is sure to contain plenty of inescapable Jigsaw traps and the tons of gore that the franchise is known for.
