Why You Should Go See ‘Tina: The Tina Turner Musical’!

We’re missing our legend, Tina Turner! What better way to honor her life than an upbeat musical featuring her transformation into a rock n’ roll star!

Even though our legend Tina Turner passed away almost a month ago, her legacy lives in many ways including Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. The 2 hour 40 minute performance showcases her transformation from Anna Mae Bullock, a young girl with a humble life in Nutbush, Tennessee, to Tina Turner, the rock n’ roll star with sold out shows.

Tina Turner’s transformation into a superstar is all but easy, and the musical features each one of her hardships. From her nonexistent relationship with her parents to her abusive relationship with Ike Turner, the show depicts how Tina’s resilient and fiery spirit kept her alive and pushed her to stardom. Her passion for music and performing made her never give up despite all odds.

Along with its inspiring storyline, the musical has a killer soundtrack that is sure to get you on your feet! The show features all of Tina’s best hits including “Proud Mary,” “River Deep Mountain High,” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”. The performances are stellar, and with the crowd on their feet and dancing, it’s almost like going to see the real Tina Turner in concert!

The musical originally opened in London in 2018, but it is currently on stage at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Naomi Rodgers and Zuri Villanueva honor Tina with their incredible performances of her along with the rest of the talented cast. Their top tier performances make this show so fun and entertaining–this musical is truly worth your while!
