What Fans Want to See in ‘Beetlejuice 2’!

Almost 40 years later ‘Beetlejuice’ is coming back for a sequel! In preparation, here is what fans want in the bio-exorcist’s return.

Johnny Depp

Long time collaborator with director Tim Burton, Johnny Depp has been in spectacular movies like Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Alice in Wonderland but is noticeably absent from Tim Burton’s return to the world of Beetlejuice. Looks like fans are getting their wish because most of the main cast from the first film are reprising their roles and coming back for one more scream in this sequel. Though it’s been some time since the first Beetlejuice, and its actors have done work since, it looks like Beetlejuice 2 is carrying the torch and keeping nearly everyone together.

One of the best parts of the original was how wacky and out of this world everything looked, including the very dapper suit Michael Keeton wears for most of the film. With black and white stripes resembling robbers from long ago, this devilish miscreant is staying bespoke much to the delight of the fans.

A heavy hitter coming to Beetlejuice 2, Willem Dafoe’s character was a B movie film star in his natural life but in death is a ghostly detective. This pairing of Keeton and Dafoe is special because they already share a connection: Spider-Man. Yes, somehow the web head is involved and it’s due to both actors having played Spider-Man villains with Keeton playing Vulture and Dafoe playing the Green Goblin, respectively.

Jenna Ortega Appearing

How much horror can one person do?? Scream, X, and Wednesday all feature Jenna Ortega, and Beetlejuice 2 seems to be heading the same route. A 21st-century scream queen, one of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, is set to play the daughter of Winona Ryder‘s character, Lydia Deetz, and will be sure to give fans everything they want and more for this horror comedy blockbuster.
