What Fans Are Excited to See in ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’ Season 3!

A new season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga just premiered on Hulu. Here is what fans are excited about and what we can expect from the new season!

We have been on a journey these past two seasons watching the RZA struggle to form the group. We saw them begin to work together, survive a tough upbringing, and witnessed the growth in their relationship, from constant conflict to brothers. Here’s what could happen next and some fans’ reactions to what we already know.

The clan is now huge and still on the rise, coming off of their first album release. We will not be seeing the struggling artists we saw in the first two seasons; we now will witness the greatness that awaited them in their rise to stardom. We can expect the clan to be sitting pretty in huge mansions and living lavishly with the spoils from a number one record.

In the teaser, we saw a flood destroy the RZA’s apartment. In real life, that flood happened and reportedly destroyed 500 beats, along with Inspectah Deck’s debut album! We can expect that to impact their relationship and be a setback on their rise to international stardom.

The flood may have been a setback, but the Wu-Tang Clan still saw lots of success following the unfortunate tragedy. Huge albums like Wu-Tang Forever and The W followed the tragedy.

This season will include 8 episodes, as opposed to the 10 of each previous season. We will see three allegorical movies about individual artists. The first will be in episode 3, titled “Dirty Dancing,” where Ol’ Dirty Bastard” takes on the persona of “Dirt McGirt” and searches for inspiration for his solo album. The second will be episode 6 in “Criminology,” where Raekwon searches for inspiration for his first solo album. The finale will include the final allegorical movie and is “Liquid Swords.” We will see the GZA travel around an alternate New York, introducing his first solo album.

On that note, throughout the unfolding of season 3 will see most of the members embark on a journey for themselves, regardless if they get their own episode or not. In his book The Tao of Wu, Robert Fitzgerald Diggs (aka RZA) mentions he had each of the artist’s albums planned ahead of time. This will ensure conflict on screen between the members and the RZA, as each member will release their own tracks and begin to see themselves as an individual star, not wanting to listen to the RZA’s plan. In the book, Robert Fitzgerald Diggs also speaks on the conflict the other artists had with him trying to keep control over each of their careers.

We are sure to see songs from each of the albums that received their own episode, which includes Liquid Swords (GZA), Return to The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version” (Ol’ Dirty Bastard), and Only Built For Cuban Linx (Raekwon). We can also expect to hear songs from Wu-Tang Forever, which is their second studio album.

Now let’s see what the fans are saying….

Fans are excited, to say the least. The reviews on Twitter for season two of Wu-Tang: An American Saga have been incredible. Fans can’t wait to see their favorite characters back for another season and get another peek into the lives of their favorite artists.
