Wedding Amidst Revolutionary Turmoil - S5 E1 'Outlander' Recap & Review

Brianna and Roger get married amidst turmoil in the air. On their wedding day, Governor Tyron approaches Jamie and requests that he continue his mission to capture Murtagh. Jamie, who obviously can’t capture Murtagh, struggles with this conundrum and how he must move going forward. In the end, Jamie enacts the fiery cross, calling on his fellow community and Scotsmen to join him in a fight, in the event of a future calamity.

Briana also faces her past trauma in the form of Stephen Bonnet when she overhears a conversation between Lord John Grey and Jamie. Jamie and Grey talk Bonnet sightings, and Brianna walks away with fear, knowing she and her baby might be in danger. Roger keeps directly stating to Brianna that she and the baby are his family, and he wants to return to their time in the future.
