Vin Diesel Drops First Single!

After demand from fans, Vin Diesel has joined with Kygo on his first single, and it’s a bop!

Vin Diesel, yes that Vin Diesel, is taking on a new career path this year. ‘The Fast and the Furious’ star just made 2020 even more interesting by dropping the first single of his music career. Enlisting the help of Norwegian music producer Kygo, the song ‘Feel Like I do’ is a fun and breezy ode to a new crush.

Any other year you might catch Vin in the latest summer blockbuster, but massive shutdown of production this year caused him to seek new outlets.

Despite popular belief, Vin has flexed his vocal chords before. Seven years ago, Vin’s cover of ‘Stay’ by Rihanna went viral on Youtube. Several fans commented on how they wanted to see more of the star’s musical talents. Over the next couple of years, Vin has continued to post karaoke covers of songs like ‘Stay with Me’ and ‘Lean on Me.’

More recently, Vin sang ‘See You Again’ at the MTV Movie Awards in 2015. The hit song performed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth was made in tribute to Vin’s ‘Fast and the Furious’ co-star Paul Walker. Walker, who died in a single-vehicle accident on November 30, 2013 was one of Vin’s closest friends. The touching moment circulated more requests to hear Vin’s voice.

It was in fact the fans who brought this song about at all. In an Instagram post, Vin specifically thanked his fans for encouraging him to step out of his comfort zone.

While we wait in anticipation for Vin to release more music we still have some big screen releases to look forward to. ‘Fast & Furious 9’ was pushed back from its planned May 22 release to April 2, 2021 and Vin is also expected to star in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. Maybe with Diesel’s new talents on the rise, we can expect a ‘Fast and the Furious’ musical soon?
