Top Celebrity “Motion Sickness” Trend TikToks!

From Guy Fieri to Maria Menounos, celebrities from all walks of life are reflecting on their lives with the “Motion Sickness” trend on TikTok.

Grammy-nominated indie rock singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers’ breakout track Motion Sickness has been trending on TikTok. The song, from her 2017 debut album Stranger in the Alps, reflects upon a toxic relationship she was in during her early 20s. It’s a song of perseverance, hence it sparked a TikTok trend depicting just that.

Celebrities and TikTok influencers alike are singing along to the soft rock song and including captions on things their younger selves would be proud of now. It’s a beautiful depiction of chasing your dreams and reflecting on the journey. Here are eight of our favorites.

Guy Fieri

In a tribute to his long-running show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network, Fieri reflected on his experiences in each type of these restaurants at different ages. All these years later, he’s still taking his viewers to Flavortown.

Hayley Kiyoko

The former Disney star of Lemonade Mouth turned pop singer looked back on her coming out journey in her take on the trend. At the start of her career, there was slim to no LGBTQ+ representation on Disney Channel. But as she branched out into the world of music, Kiyoko found her community, and publicly came out as gay. Kiyoko also humorously pointed out how her younger self would be surprised at Y2K fashion’s comeback.

Anna Sitar

The positive wellness influencer and film production grad student took a look back on the twists and turns that led her to Los Angeles, unexpected TikTok fame, and self-love. Between her work in film production, travels, and helping her thousands of TikTok followers on their wellness journeys, Anna’s younger self would be so proud to see where she is now.

Christina Perri

The “Thousand Years” singer took a walk down memory lane and reflected on how proud her younger self would be of her success in music, relationship with her mother, and sobriety. She also looked back on being cheated on at 17, which led her to pen the power ballad Jar of Hearts, hence opening up tons of doors in her career.

Afterbuzz’s own Maria Menounos also jumped on the inspiring trend. Now, she continues to inspire us all with her Better Together podcast as well.
