Things We Love About The Renaissance World Tour Besides Beyoncé!

It’s a summer renaissance! From Blue Ivy Carter performing to show-stopping outfit changes, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is full of unforgettable moments!

With a 40 song setlist, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour takes fans on an almost 3 hour journey through all of Queen Bey’s classics, from “Love on Top” to more recent tracks like “Break My Soul”. She’s currently on the European leg of the tour and will begin the North American leg in July, with the first stop in Toronto. In one of the biggest music events of the summer featuring a huge production of costume changes and background dancers, let’s take a look at some of the show-stopping moments Beyoncé has created on her tour!

Blue Ivy Carter

We can’t talk about special Renaissance World Tour moments without mentioning Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter taking the stage during “My Power” and “Black Parade” to perform the choreography alongside the dancers. Fans first got a look at Carter’s talent on May 26 in Paris, but her cameo is proving to be a fan favorite part of shows since then. In a heartwarming moment during the show in Cologne, fans surprised her by holding up blue balloons while she performed.

Beyoncé’s dancers have created viral moments of their own on tour. The Les Twins, twin brothers Laurent, and Larry Bourgeois, have danced with Beyoncé since The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in 2013. Ballroom artist Honey Balenciaga is another dancer who fans can’t get enough of. She performs alongside Beyoncé numerous times throughout the show, with fans going wild over the Ballroom segment where she vogues for the crowd.

The Outfits

Another aspect we can’t get enough of is the wardrobe incorporated into the show, with costumes designed by Alexander Mcqueen, Gucci, Fendi, David Koma, and Loewe and styled by Shiona Turini. Beyoncé’s costumes are a key part of her show; throughout the concert, she does a total of nine costume changes! She has revealed new outfits throughout the tour which adds to the excitement of seeing what each costume change will bring. At her show in Amsterdam, Beyoncé revealed a new outfit to perform “Cuff It”, which was a sparkly pink gown. She also opened the show with an outfit by Dutch designer Iris van Herpen that fans are loving on social media due to its ethereal, angelic feel and the fact that the designer is from the country she performed in.

The Renaissance World Tour has not been short of celebrity fans coming to watch Beyoncé perform, from Kylie Jenner to Lenny Kravitz. Celebrities typically sit in the VIP section or the Alien Superstar risers, which are two of the five packages available to audience members because of the unique and unobstructed view they offer. Fans take videos of them singing along and they take to their own social media to praise the show.

Fan Moments

Many special moments have been created on the Renaissance Tour, a number of them showing the close bond Beyoncé has with her fans and how much she has impacted their lives. In one heartwarming moment at the Cologne show, a sweet couple asks the “Cozy” singer to help them with their gender reveal. One of her dancers handed her the envelope and she read it out loud, revealing that the couple is welcoming a girl, seen in the clip above. Other heartwarming fan interactions include a longtime fan holding a sign saying it was their 27th show, which Beyoncé excitedly reacted to, and a more personal interaction of a fan holding up a sign saying “your music helped me through my miscarriages”, which led to an emotional moment between Beyoncé and the fan.
