The days are getting longer and warmer, but there is never a bad time to curl up and watch a good movie. Here are some classic movies for whatever you may be feeling on any given summer day!

As Memorial Day Weekend draws nearer, so does the start of the summer. Here are some to choose from to match any vibe you may have this summer.

Adventurous: The Endless Summer

In the 1966 documentary The Endless Summer, surfers Mike Hynson and Robert August travel the world in search of the perfect surfing wave and introduce locals in other countries to the sport of surfing. After seeing all the beautiful beaches in different countries, surfing, and some funky music, this movie will make you want to hop on a surfboard and live your best beach life.


Nostalgic: The Sandlot

The Sandlot is an ultimate summer coming-of-age classic from 1993. In the summer, little Scott Smalls moves to a new town and befriends some of the local neighborhood boys who love to play baseball every day. Smalls learns the game of baseball from the other boys, and they all partake in some hilarious summer adventures along the way at the public pool, the fair, and their sandlot baseball field. Dancey: Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia, here I go again! If you want to get up and dance with your besties or family this summer, put on Mamma Mia! The iconic ABBA jukebox set on a Greek island will keep you singing and laughing all summer while you watch Sophie Sheridan, a 20-year-old soon-to-be bride, try to find out the truth about her father’s identity days before her wedding.

Moody: The Notebook

The 2004 drama The Notebook is the ultimate movie for when you are in your feelings. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams play Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton, two young people who have a passionate summer romance. When Allie moves away, Noah writes her letters every day for a year, and they are reunited years later. Grab the tissues to watch this one on a rainy day this summer.


Comedic: Wet Hot American Summer

The satirical summer comedy Wet Hot American Summer will have you falling out of your seat laughing, especially if you’ve been to summer camp. This film gained a cult following, and many of its actors have become stars since its release such as Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Molly Shannon, and more.
