Peacock debuts official trailer and key art for The Paper, a new comedy from The Office creators premiering September 4 with weekly episodes.
Peacock has released the official trailer, key art, and new images for The Paper, a fresh new comedy series from The Office co-creator Greg Daniels and Nathan for You‘s Michael Koman. The show premieres with four episodes on Wednesday, September 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through September 25 on Peacock.
The Paper follows a documentary crew—yes, the same one that famously captured life inside Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch—who stumble upon their next big subject: a historic Midwestern newspaper and the ambitious publisher trying to bring it back to life. The series takes on the spirit of mockumentary-style storytelling, blending sharp humor with the behind-the-scenes chaos of journalism.
Leading the cast is Domhnall Gleeson, joined by a standout ensemble that includes Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez, returning to his mockumentary roots from The Office. The series will also feature guest appearances by Eric Rahill, Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim, Mo Welch, Allan Havey, Duane Shepard Sr., Nate Jackson, and Nancy Lenehan.
Behind the scenes, The Paper boasts an impressive creative team. Greg Daniels serves as co-creator, co-showrunner, executive producer, and director of the premiere episode under his Deedle-Dee Productions banner. He’s joined by co-creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer Michael Koman. The series also brings together a powerhouse lineup of executive producers, including Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas.
The directing team includes The Office veterans and fresh voices alike: Ken Kwapis, Yana Gorskaya, Paul Lieberstein, Tazbah Chavez, Jason Woliner, Jennifer Celotta, Matt Sohn, Dave Rogers, and Jeff Blitz.
Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, The Paper blends workplace satire, heartfelt storytelling, and an insider look at modern journalism. With an all-star cast, sharp writing, and roots in one of television’s most beloved comedies, it’s already generating plenty of buzz.
