The Evolution of Harry Styles’ Film Career!

From his boyband days to his solo career, Harry Styles proves he is a man of many talents. Let’s take a look at his blossoming film career!

Three-time Grammy winner Harry Styles doesn’t just release hit albums like Harry Styles, Fine Line, and Harry’s House. He also acts in major motion pictures alongside notable Hollywood elites. His acting career started back in his One Direction days and took off when he went solo. Styles quickly worked his way from side characters to starring roles in big films. Let’s take a look at his film career timeline.

In 2012, One Direction appeared on iCarly in the season 6 episode “iGo One Direction.” Carly catches a contagious disease and accidentally gets Harry Styles sick. The rest of the band members suspect that Styles is faking it and let Gibby replace him when Styles says he’s too sick to perform. Styles says he is ready to perform when he sees Gibby in his place, and the band sings “What Makes You Beautiful.”

In 2017, Styles took on a more serious role as Alex in the war drama Dunkirk. Styles’ character is a young soldier who is trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk during World War One as Germany advanced into France. He did not have the leading role in this film, but his character was featured many times.

Harry Styles is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2021, Styles appeared in the end credit scene of Eternals. He plays Eros, or Starfix, an Eternal who is the Titan prince brother of Thanos. Kevin Feige confirmed that Styles will return as Eros in the MCU in his adventure story with his sidekick Pip (Patton Oswalt). We can’t wait!

Don’t Worry Darling

Styles scored a starring role in the 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling. He stars opposite Florence Pugh, who plays Alica, a 1950s housewife who stays home while her husband, Jack (Styles), works daily in a top-secret facility. Alice starts to question her life as Jack’s behavior starts to change. Styles takes on a more emotionally heavy role in this mystery thriller film. He showcases his acting chops among A-list actors and proves he can be a leading man.

My Policeman

In 2022, Styles had another starring role in Prime Video’s My Policeman. He plays Tom, a policeman in 1950s Britain who falls in love with schoolteacher Marion (Emma Corin). However, Tom soon gets tangled in a passionate affair with Patrick (David Dawson) despite homosexuality being illegal. Styles proved once again that he can take on an emotionally challenging role, making 2022 his leading man year.
