Taylor Swift Eras Tour Outfits Explained!

Taylor Swift has many outfit changes specific to each era on her tour! Let’s take a look at the meaning behind some of them!

Lover Era

This was the opening era so Taylor had to be bold of course. She wore a pink and blue bejeweled Versace bodysuit paired with Christian Louboutin glitter boots when she performed “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.” She wore this because it was a more bold and confident version of the bodysuit she wore for the Lover tour.

When performing “The Man,” she wore a silver sequin Versace blazer over her bodysuit she wore from the Lover tour. This provided a new look while sticking with an original piece. The idea of a blazer provides a businesswoman vibe, which shows power. The sequins put it over the top.

She wore another Versace bodysuit in a gold and silver combination with boots that matched when performing “Daylight.” This song refers to being “brighter” and repeatedly says “golden,” therefore she had to have a shiny gold outfit.

Fearless Era

Taylor started this era off by wearing a gold Roberto Cavalli fringe dress that was just a more modernized version of the one she wore in 2009. She added a glitter silver guitar to really bring us back in time.

Evermore Era

Taylor wore a burnt orange Etro dress with gold embroidery to create the vibe for this album people thought she hated. She wore these colors because they perfectly matched the colors she used on the album cover.

Reputation Era

Taylor wore an asymmetrical snake bodysuit that was a custom Roberto Cavalli piece. It was black and red and one side went all the way down her leg and the other side was cut as shorts. The red part of this one piece were snakes which created a revenge vibe. She chose this unique look because it mirrors the idea that there’s multiple sides of her which she analyzes in the album. It was also a more developed version of the black sequined bodysuit with one sleeve that she had worn for the Reputation tour.

Speak Now Era

Taylor wore an iconic pink ball gown with gold flakes by Nicole + Felicia. This dress clearly was meant to bring us back in time to the sparkly gold gown she had worn in 2014. The fact that the dress was a different color, but still included the iconic gold color was amazing.

A different night, Taylor opted for a pink ball gown with some silver beading by Zuhair Murad. Fans suspect she is re-recording the album and does not want to draw attention to it.

Red Era

Taylor wore almost the same shirt as back in the day that said “Not A Lot Going On At The Moment.” Instead, on the opening night it read “A Lot Going On At The Moment.” She paired it with the same black hat as well. For other nights of the tour, she wore shirts that had different phrases. One said “Who’s Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew” while a third shirt said “We Are Never Getting Back Together Like Ever.” Everyone knows Taylor considers the smallest details and likes to drop hints, especially through color schemes. Fans believe the words in red on her shirts have a meaning behind it.

Folklore Era

Taylor wore a custom purple maxi dress by Alberta Ferretti for the opening night. The flowy vibe of the dress was similar to the one she wore in her 2021 Grammy performance. Fans also believe it is a reference to the color scheme from the cover of the Speak Now album.

Acoustic Era

Taylor decided to wear a sweet and simple pink wrap dress when performing acoustically. This was also meant to bring us back to this point in her life when she was first starting out. She added that she will play two acoustic songs each night and does not plan on repeating any.
