Disney Channel was a big part for many of us growing up and produced some of the most iconic shows, like Hannah Montanna, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Sonny With A Chance. Here are some of the celebs you might have missed, including Shakira, Austin Butler, and Tyra Banks!
Shakira
Starting off the list, we have Shakira. Shakira was featured on Wizards of Waverly Place when she played Alex, Justin, and Max’s uncle who had a rare problem. This problem was unlike no other, he couldn’t control when he was himself and when he magically became Shakira! Seems like a good problem to have if you ask me!
Shaqeal O’Neal
Shaq was featured on Sonny With a Chance when he played Chad Dylan Cooper’s “twin” brother. His character was part of one of the most popular bits on the show, The “Check it Out” girls.
Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks is mostly known for being the host of America’s Next Top Model. In 2012, in between her being on the competition show, she found her way to the cast of Shake it Up. Banks played a nerdy Librarian who helps Cece and Rocky plan a way to get Cece’s dad to re-propose to her mom.
John Cena
It’s no surprise if you didn’t catch John Cena in an episode of Hannah Montana, since you never see him coming, but he was in fact featured! Cena appeared in a dream Jackson Stewart had where he told him why reading is beneficial, of course, he told Stewart this while wrestling him.
Austin Butler
Another celeb who was an extra on Disney was Austin Butler. Before he was in Switched at birth and The Carrie Diaries, he was on Hannah Montana. Butler played Miley Stewart’s blind date who turned out to be afraid of everything! It’s safe to say that neither Miley nor Hannah texted him back the next day!
Justin Baldoni
Believe it or not, but, Justin Baldoni was actually featured in an episode of Suite Life of Zack and Cody! Baldoni was a fencing coach for Maddy and London. They both had severe crushes on his character making it a competition to get him. I mean, can you blame them?
Tiffany Haddish
Last but not least, Tiffany Hadish! Haddish was on That’s So Raven as a featured extra. Her role was a tour guide who warns the friend group of a Man-eating plant.
