Sabrina Carpenter announces her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend, dropping August 29, following the chart-topping Short n’ Sweet.
Sabrina Carpenter is officially entering a new musical era. The Grammy winner just revealed that her seventh studio album, titled Man’s Best Friend, will be released on August 29.
The announcement came during an Instagram Live on Wednesday morning, where Sabrina Carpenter playfully flipped through a stack of records from icons like Donna Summer, ABBA, and Dolly Parton before revealing her own new LP. The moment doubled as a visual teaser, showing off the album artwork—Sabrina Carpenter on all fours with a hand gripping her hair, giving fans a provocative and stylized peek at what’s to come.

Man’s Best Friend follows last year’s blockbuster album Short n’ Sweet, which debuted to massive success. That record spawned three hit singles—“Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste”—all of which earned spots in Spotify’s Billions Club. Sabrina Carpenter’s momentum carried into awards season, as she scored six Grammy nominations and took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso.” The album also moved 10 million copies globally, cementing her status as a bona fide pop star.
Fans already got their first taste of Man’s Best Friend last week with the release of lead single “Manchild,” co-written with frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen. The track quickly shot to No. 1 on both Spotify U.S. and Global charts, helped by a striking, cinematic music video directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia.
Sabrina Carpenter won’t be slowing down after the album drops. This fall, she’s set to return to the stage for a second sold-out North American leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour. The new run kicks off October 23 in Pittsburgh and will hit major arenas across the U.S. and Canada, including five nights at Madison Square Garden in New York and a six-night finale at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, ending November 23.
With Man’s Best Friend on the way and her tour schedule packed, Sabrina Carpenter is proving once again that she’s not just riding the pop wave—she’s helping lead it.
