Netflix has released the official teaser for People We Meet On Vacation, the Emily Henry adaptation set to debut globally on January 9, 2026.
Netflix has dropped the official teaser trailer for People We Meet On Vacation, the highly anticipated romantic comedy adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling novel. The film is set to release globally on the streamer on January 9, 2026.
Directed by Brett Haley, the adaptation is penned by Yulin Kuang along with Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo. Behind the project are producers Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and Isaac Klausner, with Laura Quicksilver, Ted Gidlow, and Henry herself serving as executive producers.
The cast is led by Emily Bader and Tom Blyth, who star as Poppy and Alex, two best friends with completely different approaches to life. Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, and Alice Lee also join the ensemble, with Molly Shannon and Alan Ruck rounding out the lineup.
The story follows Poppy, a free spirit, and Alex, who prefers routine. Though they live in different cities, the two have kept their bond alive by taking summer vacations together for over a decade. That tradition — and their friendship — is challenged when they begin to realize what has been clear to everyone else: their connection might be more than just platonic.
With the release date set and a star-studded cast attached, People We Meet On Vacation is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most buzzworthy romantic films of 2026.
