Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are dating after filming The Naked Gun together, and sources say their romance is just getting started.
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have taken their on-screen chemistry from The Naked Gun straight into real life. A source close to the film tells PEOPLE that the actors have struck up a “budding romance in the early stages” following their time working together on the new comedy, which hits theaters Friday, August 1.

“It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” the insider says, adding that the pair are currently “enjoying each other’s company” as they promote the film. Neeson, 73, and Anderson, 58, star as love interests in the reboot, with Neeson playing Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. — the son of Leslie Nielsen’s iconic character from the original films — and Anderson portraying Beth.
The sparks first drew public attention at the London premiere of The Naked Gun on July 22, when Anderson gave Neeson a playful kiss on the cheek. Just days later, they walked the red carpet together at the New York City premiere on Monday, July 28, posing for photos alongside their children. Anderson brought sons Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, while Neeson was joined by Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28, his sons with late wife Natasha Richardson.
Their flirty rapport continued the next morning on Today, where they staged a playful makeout gag for the cameras. Though neither star has publicly commented on the relationship, they’ve both gushed about one another in recent interviews.
Back in October 2024, Neeson told PEOPLE, “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with.” Anderson returned the admiration, calling Neeson “the perfect gentleman” and saying he “brings out the best in you… with respect, kindness and depth of experience.”
Anderson further opened up to Entertainment Weekly in July, calling Neeson “a friend forever” and sharing that the two connected deeply on set. “We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving. He’s a good guy,” she said. In an earlier interview in May, she revealed that they bonded over “a love of literature and a good laugh” and even shared intimate cast dinners — though she made sure to keep things “professionally romantic” during filming.
Romantic or not, it’s clear the connection between these two The Naked Gun stars is no act.
