Noah’s Arc is back with an all-new Paramount+ movie reuniting the original cast and introducing fresh faces just in time for Pride.
It’s been two decades since Noah’s Arc first broke ground on television, and now the beloved series is returning with an all-new movie set to premiere on Paramount+ on June 20. Titled Noah’s Arc: The Movie, the upcoming release reunites the original cast and promises a fresh wave of drama, laughter, and love.
The film finds longtime couple Noah and Wade on the brink of major life changes as they prepare to welcome twins. But with both receiving offers for their dream jobs, one must put career ambitions on hold to take on the role of stay-at-home parent. According to the official synopsis, the film is packed with “shocking plot-twists, laugh-out-loud comedy, and thrilling displays of dizzying, intoxicating, heart-lifting romance.”
Returning to reprise their original roles are Darryl Stephens, Jensen Atwood, Rodney Chester, Doug Spearman, Christian Vincent, and Wilson Cruz. Stephens, who stars once again as Noah, reflected on the series’ cultural impact and its timely return. “It’s interesting to be revisiting Noah’s Arc during this current administration,” he told Out. “LGBTQ folks are fraught with lots of challenges at the moment, and I think that what Noah’s Arc did in 2005, I hope it is able to do again in 2025.”
The new film also introduces a lineup of new cast members, including television legends Jasmine Guy (A Different World) and TC Carson (Living Single), as well as reality stars TS Madison and Kennedy Davenport. Rounding out the cast are Eva Marcille, Gregory Kieth, Jonathan Julian White, K’Hood, Mariyea, Jasun Jabbar, and Dynisty St. James.
Creator and executive producer Patrik-Ian Polk shared his excitement over the project’s return and the loyalty of the show’s fanbase. “We’ve never lost faith, and certainly the fans have never forgotten the show,” Polk said. “That’s been the most amazing thing, to see our original fans are still around and they love the show, but then younger people just continue to discover it.”
This marks the third movie in the Noah’s Arc legacy. Following the original 2005 series, the characters first reunited in Jumping the Broom in 2008, and again in the short film The ‘Rona Chronicles during the pandemic. Over the years, the show’s message of love, community, and visibility has continued to resonate across generations.
As Polk puts it: “The people are still out there. They still want more of this.”
