Awards & Expectations
Season 1 of The Pitt was a breakout success, earning 13 Emmy nominations, including nods for Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa. Both actors expressed gratitude for the recognition, with Noah Wyle calling it a “collective effort” and Katherine LaNasa describing her nomination as a “delightful surprise.”
Gemmill acknowledged the pressure of following up such a strong debut, saying, “You don’t want the sophomore curse.” But for Noah Wyle, the key to season 2’s success is staying grounded: “You have to almost have it be a non-factor and create the same sense of privacy we built the first year. If we’re successful in that regard, then the storytelling will just roll out.”
