Molly Shannon will reunite with Will Ferrell in his first-ever TV comedy series for Netflix, a 10-episode golf show with powerhouse producers attached.
Molly Shannon is teeing up for a brand-new comedy, reuniting with longtime collaborator Will Ferrell in Netflix’s upcoming Untitled Will Ferrell Golf Series. The streaming giant has officially announced Shannon’s casting in the highly anticipated 10-episode project, marking another on-screen pairing of the two comedic icons.
In the series, Will Ferrell stars as a fictional golf legend, bringing his signature humor to the sport in what will be his first-ever TV comedy series. Molly Shannon, known for her standout performances in Only Murders in the Building and Driver’s Ed, will play a character named Stacy.
The project comes from a powerhouse team of producers. Will Ferrell is executive producing alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions, with Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue executive producing for T-Street, the production company behind Knives Out and Poker Face.
Rounding out the creative team are Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest, all serving as executive producers.
With a blend of sports, satire, and star power, the Untitled Will Ferrell Golf Series is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated comedies in Netflix’s lineup.
