Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka find love and rivalry in Netflix’s Champagne Problems, a Paris-set holiday romance premiering November 19.
Netflix is popping the cork on a new holiday romance this season with the debut of Mark Steven Johnson’s Champagne Problems, streaming November 19. The film stars Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka in a sparkling story of ambition, charm, and unexpected love set against the twinkling backdrop of Paris at Christmastime.
In Champagne Problems, Kelly plays Sydney Price, a determined up-and-coming executive finally getting her shot to lead a major acquisition for Chateau Cassell, a cherished champagne house in the heart of France’s Champagne region. When she’s called to France during the holidays to seal the deal, Sydney arrives with confidence — and a hopeful heart.
Her plans take a romantic twist when she decides to spend one magical night enjoying Paris in all its festive glow. There, she meets Henri Cassell (Wozniczka), a captivating stranger who turns what was meant to be a quiet evening into something truly memorable. But her newfound holiday romance soon faces an unexpected complication: Henri is none other than the founder’s son of the very champagne company she’s trying to acquire.
As the negotiations heat up at the vineyard, guided by Hugo Cassell (played by Thibault de Montalemert), Sydney and Henri must navigate the fine line between love and loyalty. The chemistry between them proves hard to contain — and like a good bottle of bubbly, their emotions threaten to overflow.
The film also features Sean Amsing, Flula Borg, Astrid Whettnall, Xavier Samuel, Mitchell Mullen, and Maeve Courtier-Lilley in supporting roles.
Champagne Problems is written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Love, Guaranteed), and produced by Stephanie Slack, p.g.a., Margret H. Huddleston, p.g.a., and Mark Steven Johnson.
With its enchanting Parisian setting, holiday spirit, and an irresistible mix of love and competition, Champagne Problems promises to deliver the perfect blend of warmth and wit for the season. Viewers can watch the official trailer now and add the film to their Netflix “My List” ahead of its premiere.
