Big Brother 27 is introducing a wild new cast, masked visitor twist, and returning AI twist ahead of explosive premiere on July 10.
Big Brother is back—and Season 27 is bringing both fresh faces and even fresher chaos. Premiering July 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, the long-running reality competition has officially revealed its cast of 16 new houseguests, each ready to fight, scheme, and awkwardly chair-dance their way to the $750,000 grand prize.
The eclectic mix of contestants includes a professional bull rider, a dungeon master, a web designer, and even an aura painter. From AI consultants to bridal consultants, this group is as unpredictable as they come. But that’s just the beginning.
CBS is teasing a mystery houseguest reveal during the 90-minute premiere—and according to longtime host Julie Chen Moonves, the surprise addition is nothing short of “epic.” “I never expected that person,” she told Entertainment Weekly, describing the secret guest as “polarizing” and promising a major reaction when the identity is unveiled.
Could it be a former Big Brother contestant returning for another shot? Or a crossover from another CBS reality series? While nothing’s confirmed, the stunt brings to mind Survivor legend Cirie Fields’ surprise entrance during Season 25.
This year’s house—dubbed Hotel Mystère—will feature even more twists. Houseguests will be confronted by a masked visitor and a secret accomplice, both of whom, Chen Moonves warns, will be “very disruptive.”
Also returning is the three-nominee format from last season, along with an evolved version of the BB AI Arena. This year, it’s called the BB Blockbuster, a game-changing twist that gives houseguests one last shot to save themselves from elimination.

Chen Moonves teased all the twists and turns in a new video from CBS, where the contestants also showed off some truly awkward dance moves while talking trash about their competition. Between the personalities, power plays, and surprise guests, Season 27 is already shaping up to be one of the wildest yet.
Big Brother Season 27 premieres July 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Episodes will air Mondays and stream the next day on Paramount+.
