Love Island USA’s JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez break up after one year together following long-distance struggles and Beyond the Villa tensions.
After a year of dating, Love Island USA fan favorites JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have officially called it quits. A source confirmed to E! News that the couple broke up on July 27, following growing speculation from fans who noticed subtle social media changes, including JaNa and her close friends Leah Kateb and Serena Page unfollowing Kenny on Instagram.
The two reality stars first fell in love on season six of Love Island USA, winning over viewers with their connection and chemistry. The duo ultimately placed third in the finale and appeared to continue their romance after the show, navigating a long-distance relationship between Las Vegas, where JaNa was based, and Dallas, where Kenny lived.
Their post-show journey was further documented in Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which followed their lives after the Fiji-based series. The move to Los Angeles for filming seemed promising at first, but it revealed underlying differences in their expectations.
Kenny opened up to Variety earlier this month, sharing that he wasn’t ready to move in with JaNa full-time. “Since leaving the villa, it’s a big jump moving in together with someone,” he said. “I didn’t want it to be televised, especially the first time. So we rented rooms next to each other.”
He also highlighted a clash in lifestyles. “When JaNa gets ready for events, she has a huge glam team,” he explained. “Usually, there’s somebody in there for wardrobe, and sometimes I don’t have the space to change and things like that.” Despite sharing much of their Love Island experience together, living side-by-side in Los Angeles proved more complicated than expected.
Once cameras stopped rolling, Kenny confirmed they remained long-distance and continued to live apart, indicating unresolved issues in their dynamic.
The breakup comes after a year of heartfelt public tributes the pair had shared with each other on social media. On Kenny’s birthday, JaNa gushed: “You’re not just my best friend, you’re my safe place. I love doing life with you… Your love gives me the courage to be myself around you and for that, I’m forever thankful.”
Kenny, in turn, praised JaNa on her birthday last December: “Your smile lights up every room that you walk into… I am so lucky to have you in my life.”

As of now, reps for both JaNa and Kenny have not commented publicly on the breakup.
